Wingin It is a fast-growing food-truck brand based in Lake Hāwea, founded by best friends Rav and Deep, who have been serving the local community since 2017. What started as a small idea between two chefs has grown into one of the region’s most loved street-food destinations, known for bold flavours, high-quality ingredients, and a relaxed, welcoming vibe.
Wingin It specialises in crispy fried chicken, loaded burgers, and Indian-inspired curries, blending classic Kiwi comfort food with vibrant South Asian spices. This unique style proudly described as “Desi Roots, Kiwi Streets” sets Wingin’ It apart from typical food trucks and has helped build a strong, loyal customer base across Hāwea, Wānaka, and the wider South Island.
Operating from their permanent base in Lake Hāwea while also catering for weddings, festivals, markets, and private events, Wingin’ It is trusted to deliver fast, consistent, and crowd-pleasing food at scale. The team regularly serves hundreds of people a day during busy periods and is known for selling out of popular items.
Beyond food, Wingin It is deeply connected to the local community. Rav and Deep actively collaborate with nearby businesses, artists, schools, and event organisers, supporting fundraisers, markets, and creative projects.
