Just a 20 minute drive from town, Coronet Peak is Queenstown’s local, made for fast laps, sunrise starts, and snow-filled good times for every level of skier and rider.

Established in 1947, Coronet Peak is New Zealand’s longest-running ski field, with 280 ha of varied terrain, 8 lifts (3 chairlifts, 5 conveyors) including a high-speed 6-seater chair with Gondola. From gentle learner slopes to wide-open groomers and epic rollercoaster terrain, it’s where generations have come to learn, play, and carve in the snow.

Catch First Tracks for golden light and untouched cord in the morning and ride under the floodlights at Night Ski or push your limits in the Race Arena where the world’s best alpine ski racers come to train. Our lessons and rentals are dialed for every level, from first-timers to performance chasers.

When it’s time to unwind, join the locals at Heidi’s Hut; an alpine hideaway pouring mulled wine and serving wood-fired pizza with legendary views over the Wakatipu Basin. Prefer a spritz in the sunshine? Swing by the Ice Bar for an Aperol or two in the fresh mountain air. Little shredders in tow? Skiwiland has them covered with snow play and care, so you can savor the moment knowing they’re in good hands.

Whether it’s your first visit or your hundredth, the magic starts here, and it never stops.
