Operator Information

A 2-3 hour walk to the historic stone Aspiring Hut over open valley floor in the West Matukituki Valley offers spectacular mountain views. Mountain bikes allowed up to the hut only. Hut fees are payable if staying overnight.

Note: this hut is owned by the NZ Alpine Club and DOC hut passes are not valid.
