Ticket release: Remember Remember, the 5th of November when Magic Land tickets will drop!
Magic Land 2027: The Resurrection— After deciding to go bi-annual and taking a year off, we’re back and better than ever. We’re so stoked to bring together this epic celebration of our love for the beautiful land we live in, the people that we share it with and everyone that makes our community so special.
Magic Land is so much more than a flying event and the proof is in the pudding after 2 highly successful events in 2024 and 2025. It’s a weekend with an incredible mix of aviation, music, adventure and family fun. In 2027 we’re absolutely fizzing to be collaborating up with Yumm Productions, who bring you Relish Festival and help curate countless others, we are super excited to bring their finesse, art and style into the flow.
2027 will also see the World Tour Freestyle Flight organization come to Wanaka and work alongside the team who deliver Acrofest, New Zealand’s National Aerobatic Paragliding Competition, helping elevate the comp to a truly world-class stage.
The much-loved Paramotor Parade and Candy Drop for the kids are back, we are being graced again with some excellent speed flying opportunities and world class coaching, not to mention the stunning aerial performers back to wow the crowds.
We’ve got a brand-new Skydiving crew on the block — DropX from Christchurch, who are bringing their skills and their plane to the mix and the Skydivers have some very exciting announcements to make, the breath taking giant NZ flag jump has become an icon of Magic Land Festival.
Add an absolutely epic, weekend-long, music lineup, and you’ve got one seriously good weekend planned. Musical artists TBA but we can tell you there’s going to be some absolute bangers! The dancefloor never fails to kick off and there has been some amazing costumes stomping around, we can’t wait to see what Easter 2027 brings to the floor!
Behind the scenes we’re also continuing our native restoration project and looking for ways to leave a positive footprint long after the last wing has been packed away, our goal is to plant 3000 natives with 500 already in the ground and lot’s of mahi being poured in by amazing volunteers.
Magic Land is proudly passion-driven and community-focused, creating a unique, welcoming atmosphere where pilots, families, visitors, locals and curious onlookers can all come together. It’s a little bit wild, a little bit magical, and very much at the heart of why we all gravitate to this beautiful place. If your keen to find out more about how you can help with any of our projects and get involved, please reach out.
