In our first ever Free Community Arts Night in Wānaka, local artist Merle Sea will lead us in “Exploring the Nature of Indian Ink.” In this session, participants will get a chance to explore a range of ways to work with Indian Ink. It is all about being playful! You will go on a short guided tour through a couple of different techniques with ink and water and see where it takes you. We will use traditional brushes and natural materials like feathers and sharpened sticks to create monochrome artworks. No experience needed – just bring an open mind and wear something dark that is not precious, in case you get some ink on it. All levels and ages welcome – no experience needed.
