New Zealand’s Premier Airshow has been held at Wanaka Airport every second year since 1988 (apart from Covid). This major event attracts more than 60,000 people from around the world with almost 100 different aircraft from the 1930s to modern fighter jets displaying set against a backdrop of the stunning Southern Alps.
With a proud history dating back to the very first airshow in 1988, Warbirds Over Wanaka is now firmly established as NZ’s Premier Airshow attracting fans from all over the world.
